Painting a Watercolor Portrait from start to finish!
Painting a watercolor portrait is all about building the face slowly, layer by layer. Today’s video is a start to finish of my process - you don’t need a huge amount of time to make art! I begin with a simple sketch, then add soft washes of colour to establish the skin tones, shadows and features before gradually adding darker details and expressive brushstrokes. The final layers bring the eyes, hair and personality to life, creating a loose and expressive watercolor portrait. Please enjoy and I’d love to see your take!
